Why Do We Wear Pink In October?

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October and throughout the year—people wear pink ribbons to honor survivors, remember those lost to the disease, and to support the progress we are making together to defeat breast

On 19 October we will wear pink, raise money and make life-saving research happen.

Because breast cancer is still here. It’s still tearing apart the lives of families and it’s still taking the lives of the women we love on a heartbreaking scale.

Will you join us?

The NDRS Pink Day is a new breast cancer awareness event we’re starting, taking place on October 19, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, where over one-hundred of our employees wear pink at the office to show our support to those who overcame or are still fighting breast cancer.

Our goal with NDRS Pink Day is to spread enough awareness that more resources can go into research to discover how to prevent breast cancer, how to detect it earlier and how to treat it effectively at every stage so we can stop the disease taking lives.

How do I take part in Pink Day?

It’s easy – just wear something pink on October 19. You’ll be helping to make cutting edge breast cancer research happen.

If you’re at work, you could get your colleagues involved by all wearing pink and join in the fun.

And if you’re looking to take part in your community you could organize a special pink party to bring everyone together and raise awareness for Breast Cancer Now.
